~ㄴ데요 is the Korean magic word for soft complaints. It implies '...so could you check?' without being demanding. Never skip 는데요 when complaining.

~는데요 = 'this is the situation (and I expect you to do something about it)'. It's indirect, which is how Koreans prefer to complain.
Korean complaint culture: be indirect first. Start with 저기요/여기요, state the problem with ~는데요, and wait. Going straight to 'fix this' is considered rude.
