Love Confessions

사랑 고백 명대사

Textbook당신을 사랑합니다dang-sin-eul sa-rang-hap-ni-daI love you
Real너 없으면 안 될 것 같아neo eop-eu-myeon an doel geot gat-aI don't think I can go on without you🏷️ Close friends
📺 In context
K-drama confessions are always indirect. Instead of 사랑해, characters say things like 너 없으면 안 돼 (I can't be without you) or 네 생각밖에 안 나 (I can only think of you). Direct is boring; poetic is Korean.

📺
Confession intensity (subtle → dramatic)
같이 있으면 편해 (I feel comfortable with you)자꾸 생각나 (I keep thinking about you)나 너 좋아하는 것 같아 (I think I like you)나 너 좋아해 (I like you)너 없으면 안 돼 (I can't be without you)사랑해 (I love you — saved for ep. 14+)
💡

In K-dramas, 사랑해 (I love you) usually doesn't appear until at least episode 10-14. Before that, it's all 좋아해 (I like you) and indirect expressions. If someone says 사랑해 in episode 2, either it's a rom-com or someone's about to die. That's K-drama grammar.
