Even in classrooms, Korean students triple-soften their questions. 혹시 (by any chance) + 하나 (just one) + 드려도 될까요 (may I give you) = maximum politeness. Direct questions feel aggressive.

족보 (literally 'family tree') in student slang = collection of past exams from previous semesters. Getting 족보 for a class is a survival skill. 선배 pass them down to 후배 like sacred texts.
