Why Koreans say it this way
비번 is short for 비밀번호 (password). 와이파이 (WiFi, Konglish). Korea has WiFi literally everywhere — cafes, restaurants, buses, even hiking trails. But asking for 비번 at a cafe is still the universal conversation starter.
