Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how 로븐 ("Rovn", "we", "us"), the operator of rovn.io ("ROVN", the "Service"), collects, uses and protects your information. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Learning progress. Lessons you complete are stored on your device (browser storage) and, when you are signed in, on our servers so your progress syncs across devices.
- Usage data. We record page views with a one-way hashed (irreversible) form of your IP address, your country code, and the page path. We cannot recover your IP address from this hash.
- Cookies. We use one first-party session cookie (
rovn_token) to keep you signed in. Third-party cookies may be set by our analytics and advertising partners as described below.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Service: sign-in, progress sync, and personalized features such as "My Progress".
- To understand aggregate usage and improve courses and content.
- To display advertising that keeps the Service free.
- To protect the Service against abuse.

Visitors in the EEA/UK/Switzerland are shown a consent dialog before personalized advertising cookies are used, in line with Google's EU user consent policy.
4. Data retention
- Account and progress data: kept while your account exists, deleted upon account deletion request.
- Usage records (hashed): kept up to 24 months for trend analysis, then deleted or aggregated.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@rovn.io. We will respond within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your email, name and synced progress from our servers.
6. Data security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with Cloudflare's managed infrastructure. Session tokens are HTTP-only cookies. IP addresses in our own analytics are stored only as irreversible hashes.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14; if you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International users
The Service is operated from the Republic of Korea and data may be processed on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. By using the Service you consent to this processing.
9. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page with an updated effective date, and for material changes we will provide notice on the site.
