Why Koreans say it this way
당신 (you) is almost NEVER used in real Korean — it's a K-drama thing. Real confessions use the person's name or 너 (casual you). 사귀다 = to date. 우리 사귈래? (shall we date?) is the official 'asking out' phrase.
