Why Koreans say it this way
생축 = abbreviated 생일 축하 (birthday congrats). In Korean birthday culture: 미역국 (seaweed soup) is the traditional birthday breakfast, 케이크 (cake) for celebration, and 축하해 for friends. 생일 축하합니다 is the formal song version.
